Austrian generative AI

Generative AI solutions are currently on everyone’s agenda. Whether the topic is virtual models, fake images, or automatically generated texts. International tech giants have been working intensively on the subject for some time, and by now it has also reached the center of society and mainstream media.

AI research has also been conducted in Austria for years, and since 2017 STRG. has offered STRG.behave as a toolset that enables semantic analysis of texts. An excellent basis for further development.

STRG.assist is a solution that, based on ChatGPT 4, provides ideas, creates or rewrites texts, and is even able to produce simple pieces of content in their entirety.

What can ChatGPT do, and where are its limits?

Creating texts from keywords or answering questions works very well in many cases. However, the content basis for ChatGPT is always the entire web. It therefore draws on the largest library humanity has ever invented. But this also entails risks. Not every piece of information available online comes from a reliable source, contexts are sometimes deliberately distorted, and for commercial use, the question of copyright cannot be answered responsibly if the origin is unknown.

So what advantages does STRG.assist offer?

STRG.assist uses the capabilities and logic of ChatGPT 4, while opening up additional possibilities for business applications. Case-by-case restriction to specific data, such as whitelisting certain web addresses or using internal content databases, reliably prevents misinformation from creeping into the generated texts. For example, it is possible to restrict the system to specific legal databases or research results. One of the major advantages of STRG.assist is that we have created an interface in which standardized prompts can be “clicked together.” The interface required for this can be defined jointly and then provides significantly simplified access to prompt engineering. We currently use the GPT4 model, but it is also possible to use other models that work better for the German language.

One-size-fits-all solution?

No. STRG.assist provides personalized solutions that are tailored to industries, user groups, or specific use cases. Concrete examples include creating doctors’ or lawyers’ letters from keywords, ideas for interview questions, rewriting texts for other target groups (incl. dialects), or shortening/expanding existing content to the required length.
